Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former National Publicity Secretary of the nPDP, has launched a scathing attack on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

Eze accused Wike of having “acute dementia” and engaging in hypocritical political manoeuvring, citing Minister’s previous criticisms of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Eze’s statement, released today, directly contradicts claims made by Wike’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, who attributed internal PDP crises to Atiku’s alleged self-serving actions.

Eze vehemently denied this assertion, describing it as “insensitive, undemocratic, and misleading.”

He accused Wike of using Atiku as a scapegoat to gain favour with President Bola Tinubu.

“Wike’s attacks on Atiku are irrational and fallacious,” Eze said, adding that the Minister’s actions are a desperate effort to stay in President Tinubu’s good graces.

He also described Wike as a “self-styled despot” and a “tyrant” who refuses to let others succeed without his permission, citing Wike’s strained relationship with Rivers State Governor Siminalaye Fubara.

Eze warned that “If I were Fubara, Wike would only enter the State at his own risk.”

Eze accused Wike of serving both the PDP and the APC, calling him a “hypocrite” who promotes “blackmail, betrayal, divisive tendencies, lack of trust, and eye service” in Nigerian party politics.

He questioned Wike’s motivations, claiming that his relentless attacks are a misguided attempt to appease President Tinubu, which Eze believes will ultimately backfire.

The statement also questioned Wike’s assertion that Atiku’s presidential ambitions are at the root of the PDP’s internal conflicts.

Eze insisted that Atiku’s participation in the 2027 presidential primaries is entirely his decision, and that no amount of criticism will deter him.

He emphasised Atiku’s important role in establishing the PDP, contrasted with Wike’s alleged attempts to undermine the party’s internal structures for personal gain.

Eze concluded by urging Wike to stop attacking Atiku and address allegations of involvement in electoral irregularities during the 2023 presidential election.

He claimed that Wike’s actions are motivated by “selfishness and pervasive greed,” and predicted a bleak future for the minister’s political career.
