In a statement issued today by Acting Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Nigerian government emphasised the two countries’ long-standing relationship.
“Nigeria and the United States of America have collaborated in a variety of areas of mutual interest, particularly the promotion of good governance, sustainable development, and the fight against terrorism and violent extremism,” the statement read.
The Nigerian government stated its commitment to expanding this collaboration.
“Nigeria thus looks forward to further strengthening our historic, strong, and vibrant strategic partnership for the benefit of all our people,” Ebienfa stated.
