NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command Strengthens Fight Against Human Trafficking

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Bayelsa State Command has expanded its sensitisation campaign to the Famgbe Community, educating residents about the dangers and consequences of human trafficking, child abuse, and gender-based violence.

The State Commander, Mrs. Abieyuwa Ikhidero, was represented by Mr. Sambo Wariebi, Head of the Public Enlightenment Unit, who emphasised the importance of community awareness in the fight against human trafficking.

Mr. Wariebi urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspected cases to the NAPTIP Bayelsa State Command, either in person or via official channels.

The campaign team distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to raise public awareness and encourage community participation.

The initiative seeks to empower the community to combat human trafficking and related crimes.
