Mercy Chinwo Announces First Lagos Concert
Mercy Chinwo, a well-known gospel singer from Nigeria, will have her first live performance in Lagos on Good Friday.
The free public concert, with the theme “Overwhelming Victory,” will take place at the Eko Hotels and Suites beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The singer’s husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, co-founded GNT Music, which is part of Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), and released a statement announcing the concert.
Pastor Uzochikwa added that the singer will release her 12-track album, “Overwhelming Victory,” which she recorded while pregnant, during the “Mercy Chinwo Live In Concert.”
“It’s a journey wrapped up in tunes of faith, hope and victory. Beyond entertainment, Mercy Chinwo’s music is a spiritual experience that uplifts, empowers and rejuvenates the soul,” the statement reads.
Also, Chinwo said the new album is created to “uplift, inspire, and affirm the listeners’ faith”.
“Overwhelming Victory” is a metaphor for the spiritual triumph we have received from the love of Christ. The CD highlights different facets of this victory, including faithfulness, strength, joy, and assurance in our spiritual journey, via songs like “Father Eh” and “My Lover,” the speaker stated.
It is intended to provide spiritual guidance and inspiration while supporting, uplifting, and affirming the listeners’ beliefs. My artistic and emotional life has embarked into a new chapter with Overwhelming Victory.
The process of creation included a focus on other countries, late hours, and a stronger dedication to share my spiritual journey.
The singer Chioma Jesus and the pastor Jerry Eze collaborated on the record. Before “Overwhelming Victory,” Chinwo released the hit albums “Elevated,” “Wonder,” and “Confidence.”
