AY’s Moving Tribute To Mr. Ibu
Popular comedian Ayo Makun, often known as AY, has paid respect to his late colleague John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu.
The legendary actor, who was known for his comedic appearances in films and plays, died on Saturday, March 2, at Evercare Hospital, Lagos.
He was claimed to have had a heart attack. In response to his passing, AY wrote on his Instagram page that we are never ready to say goodbye to a loved one forever, even if we know it is a natural part of life.
According to the actor and filmmaker, no one wants to lose a loved one because the subsequent emotions may tear people apart and are difficult for everyone.
“When expressing condolences or sorrow, the purpose is to show compassion, concern, and connection to the grieving. Some people struggle to express their emotions in highly emotional situations. The loss of a buddy and big brother like you is something that cannot be replaced. You have always been a significant part of my experience in the entertainment industry. You are now gone. I pray for your departed soul, @johnokafor.
“I never knew just how painful goodbyes were until death took my parents away from me. This is another painful one, considering all that you had to go through. Rest in peace, Mr Ibu,” he wrote.
