Access Bank CEO, Wigwe, Wife, Son, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, Believed To Have Died In Helicopter Accident
Herbert Wigwe, the group CEO d,of Access Holdings Plc, was involved in a helicopter crash in the United States on Friday.
Wigwe, his wife, and son were aboard the helicopter when it crashed in California near the Nevada border, as was Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX I).
Six passengers were onboard, but no survivors have been discovered so far.
The circumstances of the crash, including its exact location and time, are still unknown.
The true identities of everyone on the helicopter when it crashed are unknown.
According to one source, the passengers were planning to attend the US Super Bowl tomorrow in Las Vegas.
According to NBC America, the helicopter crashed Friday night near Nipton, California, with six people on board, citing the Federal Aviation Administration.
According to the report, no survivors had been located as of Saturday morning, according to a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“At approximately 10:12 p.m. on February 10, 2024, we received notification of a downed aircraft. According to NBC, the crash occurred east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road.
The helicopter was identified as a Eurocopter EC 130 by the FAA, which is investigating alongside the National Transportation Safety Board.
