AIG , Decorates Promoted Officers, Charges Them To Be Professionals
AIG Basil Idegwu, responsible for Zone 14 Headquarters in Katsina State, has decorated five newly promoted officers.
The Police Service Commission promoted the officers on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
They include three Superintendents of Police who have been promoted to Chief Superintendents, as well as Assistant Superintendents of Police who have been promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police.
CSP Augustine Umaru, O/C General Investigation, CSP Sani Musa, O/C Political, CSP Bashiru Abubakar Kalgo, OC Works, DSP Zaharaddeen Idris, P.A. to the AIG, and DSP Ibrahim Usman, O/C Store, were all promoted.
AIG Basil Idegwu addressed the officers shortly after they were decorated with their new ranks at the Police zonal command headquarters in Katsina on Thursday, urging them to rededicate themselves to duty.
He believes that to whom much is given, much is expected and that each level of advancement brings with it greater responsibility and challenge.
He advised them to use the promotion as motivation for improved performance and productivity.
CSP Augustine Umaru responded on behalf of the newly promoted officers, thanking the IGP and Chairman Police Service Commission for the promotion.
He also thanked AIG Zone 14 and his management team for their support and guidance, assuring them that their performance would improve as they carried out their responsibilities.
