Zamfara Governor Commends NSCDC For Promoting ‘Diligent’ Officers, Urges New ACGs To Justify Elevation
Abuja, Nigeria – The Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, has lauded the recent promotion of several officers to the rank of Assistant Commandant General (ACG) within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In a statement delivered by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Moukta Mohammed Lugga, during the decoration ceremony at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja, Governor Lawal described the promotion as “well deserved.”
He emphasized that this elevation is a call for “qualitative leadership and exemplary lifestyle” to set a positive example for subordinates.
The Governor specifically commended the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi, for deploying “diligent, tactful and outstanding” officers to Zamfara State.
He credited these officers with significantly improving the state’s security architecture and effectively tackling numerous challenges. He deemed them “good ambassadors of the nation capable of executing their duties efficiently.”
Governor Lawal attributed the successes achieved by the Corps to the “quality of leadership” established by Dr. Audi.
He urged the newly decorated ACGs to “justify their elevation” through “dedicated, effective and efficient service” in fulfilling the NSCDC’s mandate.
In his address, Commandant General Audi emphasized that promotion within the NSCDC is based on “merit and availability of vacancies.”
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to improving the welfare package of officers and men and pledged to continue working diligently to meet the Corps’ objectives.
Audi further charged the newly promoted officers to “upscale their performance,” mentor their subordinates, and be “loyal and patriotic” in their service to the nation.
ACG Oliver Ugwuja, speaking on behalf of his colleagues, promised to live up to the expectations of their new rank.
The ceremony also featured the administration of the Oath of Allegiance and goodwill messages from various dignitaries.
