NIPR Commends Julius Berger For Quality Work In Delta State, Gov Oborevwori For Infrastructure Investments
Asaba, Delta State – The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has lauded Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for its consistently high-quality engineering and construction projects across the country.
The commendation was made during the NIPR’s 2024 Directors Conference and Retreat held in Asaba, Delta State.
During a tour of ongoing legacy projects in the state, NIPR Vice President Professor Emmanuel Dandaura was particularly impressed by the work of Julius Berger.
He highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering durable and long-lasting projects, emphasising that while they may be considered expensive, their quality is undeniable.
“I am particularly happy with the quality of the job that has been done,” Professor Dandaura stated.
“Julius Berger is delivering long-lasting, durable projects across the country.
“They argue that the contractor, Julius Berger, is expensive, but when you look around the country, you know that they deliver long-lasting projects, and I think it is one of the reasons why Governor Oborevwori has invited them to the state.”
The tour showcased several projects undertaken by Julius Berger, including the Okpanam-Ibusa bypass, Ughelli-Asaba road dualisation, and the ongoing construction of flyovers at Enerhen Junction, PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout in Warri, and Effurun.
Professor Dandaura also commended Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his dedication to constructing legacy projects across the state, particularly emphasising the Emevor-Orogun road project.
“What is important is that both the Federal and State governments owe us Nigerians the responsibility to ensure that we can move from one place to the other in safety and also in motorable roads.
“This is what the Delta State Government is doing by standing in the gap and I commend Governor Oborevwori for this patriotic gesture,” he added.
The NIPR’s Directors Conference and Retreat is an annual event that brings together PR professionals from various sectors nationwide.
The 2024 conference, themed “Leveraging Technology and Data-driven Insights for Digital Communication,” focused on fostering professional dialogue, capacity building, and innovative idea exchange.
