Edo Election: “Do or Die” Battle As Prophet Predicts APC Victory
Edo State has been engulfed in a vortex of political tension as the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) clash in a fierce contest for the governorship seat.
The escalating conflict has attracted national attention, with the Commissioner of Police even being replaced by another whom Governor Godwin Obaseki deems more amenable to his directives.
Adding fuel to the fire, the Inspector General of Police suspended the activities of local security operatives in the state until after the election, a move met with Governor Obaseki’s displeasure.
He further fuelled the flames by refusing to sign the state’s peace accord and declaring the election a “do or die” affair.
Amidst the growing tension, Prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry has issued a bold prediction.
He has urged the people of Edo State to reject the PDP in the upcoming Saturday election, accusing them of failing the people and Governor Obaseki of failing to deliver on his promises during his 8-year reign.
“Obaseki is a total failure as he can’t boast of any meaningful achievement within the 8 years of his reign,” declared Prophet Ikuru. “It’s a big shame, yet he’s still determined to keep the people of Edo in bondage by endorsing Asua Ighodalo, someone who will be like him and impede the growth and development of the state.”
Instead, Prophet Ikuru has called on the people to vote for the APC candidate, Okpebholo, whom he proclaims as the “anointed one” to liberate Edo State and usher in an era of immense development.
“I want to urge the people of the state to come out in mass and vote Okpebholo for the peace, development, and total transformation of the state,” the Prophet urged.
“Not someone who will collect monthly allocations from the federal government, yet the state will continue to languish in poverty.”
With the election just days away, the people of Edo State will have to decide who they believe can lead them towards a brighter future.
The political landscape remains deeply divided, with each side clinging to their own narrative.
The prophetic pronouncements of Prophet Ikuru add another layer of complexity to an already charged atmosphere.
What will the outcome of the election be? Will the people heed the prophet’s call? Only time will tell.
