Africa-Caribbean Investment Summit Set To Boost Economic Ties In Abuja
A major investment summit aimed at strengthening economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean is set to take place in Abuja from March 25th to 28th, 2025.
The Aquarian Consult Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit (AACIS ’25), hosted by Aquarian Consult Limited (ACL) in partnership with the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, will be held at the Transcorp Hilton under the theme “Bridging Continents: Africa and the Caribbean—A Partnership for Prosperity.”
The summit, according to Summit Coordinator Hyelsinta Linda Ojo, will focus on fostering cross-regional investment and unlocking new economic opportunities across key sectors, including technology, agriculture, manufacturing, and finance.
It will bring together policymakers, investors, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from both regions to explore strategies for enhanced bilateral trade and economic collaboration.
Ojo highlighted Aquarian Consult’s 16-year track record in business advisory and sustainable development, emphasizing the summit’s role in facilitating high-level dialogue, strategic networking, and impactful partnerships.
The event features an impressive lineup of speakers, including keynote addresses by Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, Former President of Mauritius.
The summit’s agenda includes keynote addresses, plenary sessions, sector-focused discussions on trade policies and business growth, and an exhibition showcasing innovations and investment-ready businesses.
A significant focus will be on Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programs, a vital revenue stream for Caribbean nations, and the opportunities they present for Nigerian businesses and investors.
Interim Chief Operating Officer of Aquarian Consult, Abisola Bamtefa, emphasized the summit’s potential to empower African entrepreneurs and small businesses, providing a crucial gateway for securing investment and expanding operations.
The summit is expected to attract significant attention, given the growing interest in cross-border collaborations and the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships between Africa and the Caribbean.
AACIS ’25 is poised to be a pivotal event in forging stronger economic relations and charting a course toward shared prosperity for both regions.
