Ministry Of Defence Embarks On New Era Of Efficiency With PMS, ECM Implementation
Abuja, Nigeria – The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has taken an important step towards improving its performance and operational efficiency by establishing the Project Steering Committee and Project Implementation Technical Team for the Performance Management System (PMS) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM).
The Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana mni, expressed confidence in the Ministry’s ability to successfully implement these systems, citing the MOD’s robust infrastructure and extensive expertise.
“We have the human resources and infrastructure to make this process a success,” Dr. Kana explained.
“The Ministry boasts experts in various departments who can readily guide the implementation and ensure its smooth integration across all levels of the organization.”
The PMS champions, specifically tasked with driving service delivery and achieving targets aligned with the Ministry’s mandate, were encouraged to demonstrate unwavering commitment and excellence.
While acknowledging potential initial challenges, Dr. Kana assured the teams of continuous training to address any obstacles.
“Training will not be an issue within the MOD,” he assured. “We can readily organize regular training sessions on PMS and ECM to equip our staff with the necessary knowledge and skills.”
The implementation of PMS and ECM is expected to usher in a new era of efficiency, productivity, and accountability across the MOD.
These systems are designed to streamline operations, improve communication, and ensure complete compliance with government performance standards.
The MOD is poised to achieve its mandate with renewed vigour and dedication, further contributing to the “Renewed Hope Agenda” through the successful implementation of these vital systems.
