Nigeria’s Ambassador to Malaysia Presents Letters Of Credence
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Malaysia, Dr Hajara Ibrahim Salim has formally presented her Letters of Credence to the Head of State and King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong, His Majesty Sultan Abdullah Al Mustapha Billah Shah.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy of Nigeria in Kular Lumpur, Ambassador Hajara Salim who was appointed the High Commissioner to Malaysia and Brunei around February this year was unable to present her Letters of credence due to restrictions and measures put in place to reduce the effect of Covid 19 in the country.
Presenting the letter at the Royal Palace of Istana Negara, the Nigerian Principal Envoy extended President Muhammadu Buhari’s warm felicitation and gratitude for the country’s hospitality and friendship.
After the brief ceremony, Ambassador Salim and His Majesty King Abdullah discussed issues of mutual benefit and restated commitment towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
Ambassador Dr Hajara Salim who was accompanied to the ceremony by the Head of Chancery, Musa Godowoli and other officials of the embassy marks her first official engagement in the country. She is also expected to present a letter of concurrent accreditation to the Sultan of Brunei at a later date.
