NNPP Makes A Statement, Unveils New Logo In Katsina
The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Katsina State has unveiled a new party logo, aiming for greater visibility and recognition among the state’s residents.
Shehu Bello Shehun Garu, the NNPP’s National Vice Chairman for the Northwest, announced this during an interview with journalists following the logo unveiling ceremony in Katsina on Saturday.
Garu stated that the decision to change the logo was based on reports to INEC regarding an issue that arose during the last general election in which people were unable to identify the party’s logo.
He stated that as a result of that single issue, the party lost several crucial votes and thus decided to make the changes for easier identification by the electorates.
“With the changes made to the party’s logo, the electorate is now aware, ready, and prepared to participate in the state’s upcoming LG elections,” he said.
Hon Armaya’u Abdulkadir, the state party chairman, stated that the party is ready to participate in the elections despite financial constraints.
Abdulkadir, who declared victory for his party in the elections, stated that if the votes are counted, the current APC-led administration in the state will not pose a threat to its candidates.
According to him, it has been years since the party came to power, and the government has yet to provide solutions to the people’s needs.
“Without fear or doubt, the party in the state is prepared to make the desired impact in the Local Government elections.”
The state NNPP chairman stated that all necessary party Congress elections had been completed in accordance with the rules set by the umpire, INEC, or SIEC and that what we expect is a level playing field to ensure the desired atmosphere.
