Party Chieftain Smacks APC Deputy National Secretary Over Emeka Beke’s Reinstatement
- Describes Comment As Ridiculous, Contemptuous, Untutored
- Commends Principal Members Of NWC For Declining Invitation To Participate In Minority Gathering.
Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has condemned as ridiculous, contemptuous, and untutored remarks attributed to the All Progressives Congress’s Deputy National Secretary Secretary, Mr. Festus Fuanters, regarding his position on the reinstatement of Chief Emeka Beke as Chairman of the APC’s Rivers State Chapter.
Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) also said there has been a conflagration of legal combat between the Emeka Beke-led State Working Committee unlawfully ousted by Ganduje over their perceived loyalty to the former Transportation Minister, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, and Mr. Tony Okocha, an avowed jobber and notorious courtier fawning on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike, who led an ille
Dissatisfied with the blatant illegality perpetrated against them, the plaintiffs filed an originating summons with the court seeking an interpretation of the APC constitution regarding their wrongful removal as congressionally elected state working committee members whose four-year terms were still in effect.
In its decision, the court condemned the party for violating its constitution by dissolving a democratically elected leadership team and forming a makeshift committee despite the fact that there is no evidence of anti-party indulgences or any wrongdoing by the Emeka Beke-led team. In fact, there is no need to repeat the fact that Ganduje acted in bad faith.
The decision to reinstate Emeka Beke and his team offended the APC Deputy National Secretary and triggered his fruitless labour of gaudy razzmatazz in a bid to continually massage the ego of the undisclosed political buccaneer(s) cheering the witch-hunt against former Minister Amaechi.
Excerpts from the Deputy National Secretary’s comment read: “We want to categorically state and inform the public that the position of the Party, All Progressives Congress, in the judgement delivered by the Rivers State High Court per Justice Aprioka in Suit No. PHC 3592 CS. 2023, wherein the court reinstated the dissolved State Executive Committee, is not binding on the Party (APC).”
“…In light of the foregoing, the party continues to recognise the former caretaker committee formed to oversee the party’s affairs in the state.”
Responding to the’stuff-and-nonsense’, Chief Eze stated that the Deputy National Secretary’s discourteous ululation demonstrates that the Ganduje-led National Working Committee of the APC is hostile to democracy, rule of law, and a proactive, independent judiciary, and is more determined than ever to destroy the APC and other democratic institutions within the polity with his abrasive tendencies.
The party Chief expressed dismay that the Deputy National Secretary presented himself as a better residual of legal knowledge than the court, which did extensive legal work and displayed excellence and sound logical reasoning in its judgement, emphasising that this arrogant display of barefaced ignorance calls into question his qualification as a lawyer.
He expressed disappointment over the presence of the likes of Victor Giadom, a major beneficiary of the sacrifices of party faithful in Rivers who suffered a gamut of dehumanising treatment and lost lives and limbs during elections, in the congregation of five political hustlers out of the 25 that make up the APC NWC.
who are clearly following the script of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, describing the outing as a display of shame and the lowest level of decency expected of him.
Eze cautioned Ganduje and his supporters against inciting the APC into a situation in which the party is regarded as a group dissident from lawful order and court decisions, noting that such a narrative from a ruling party spells doom for the judiciary and the country.
He stated that the five NWC members who attended the meeting represent a group that has sold their souls to Wike for money, and Victor Giadom is among them.
The party is aware that, under the court’s ruling, Emeka Beke remains Chairman, and that any dealings with Tony Okocha in the name of the party in Rivers State are illegal and an invitation to anarchy. The majority of NWC members (20 of them), particularly the Chairman, Publicity Secretary, Legal Adviser, and others, distanced themselves from Wike’s media briefing.
He urged the party leadership to respect the court’s decision in order to save her from a looming crisis that could shake her to her very core and allow Emeka Beke and his congressionally elected team to serve out their terms as ordered by the court.
