Gov. Uzodimma, Others To Unveil ‘Skills FM,’ First Radio Station In Okigwe

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, among other dignitaries, will unveil the Skill FM in Okigwe on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

According to a news release from Gregory University Uturu (GUU), the station’s owners, the new station will be commissioned by Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma in the presence of numerous renowned individuals.

“Pursuant to the vision of our Founder Prof Gregory Ibe to consistently vanguard the good delivery of quality knowledge to all sundry, we are pleased to announce the planned commissioning of our commercial radio station, aptly named Skills FM, by the Governor of Imo State Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, in the company of many other distinguished personalities, on Wednesday 23 August 2023,” reads part of the statement.

Skills FM is now testing the intensity of its transmissions on the frequency of 87.7 in the FM band, which is licensed to Prof Gregory Ibe, Founder and Proprietor of Gregory University Uturu.

The station parades many renowned On Air Personalities (OAPs) that are set to entertain, enlighten, and educate the wide demography of her listening public in Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Anambra States, with the promise of “Adding Value” to her countless listeners.

As a result, the statement invites the broader public to attend the historic event.
