Monday Sit-at-home A Media Creation, Says IPOB Spokesman 

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has accused the media of fuelling the Monday-Monday Sit-at-home in the South East even when the group denounced it.

Its spokesman, Emma Powerful said in a statement, in reaction to a possible crisis in the group that there are neither conflicting orders from the IPOB nor crisis in it but the media caused it.

The group had at the weekend relieved and expelled its officer in charge of Asset Recovery, Mrs. Nelly Ofoegbu, saying that IPOB under its leader Nnamdi Kanu has no place for people with hidden motives and agendas.

The memo signed by the Head of Directorate of State of IPOB, Mazi Chika Edoziem said one of its fundamental principles is command and control.

When Powerful was asked if that was not a sign of crisis just like the order and counter-order on Monday-Monday sit-at-home, he said: “There is no conflicting orders only media people are promoting this fake order.

“You people should stop writing in support for Monday sit-at-home or write in support of news promoting it.”
