Okey Ahiwe Salutes Abians At Easter, Calls For Peace, Collective Efforts Towards Building Greater Abia
The Abia State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Sir Okey Ahiwe, has called on Abians to use the period of Easter celebrations to reflect on the future of Abia State, renew their faith in the State and pray God to strengthen them for the journey ahead towards building a greater State.
Sir Ahiwe who made the call in his Easter message to Abians, also urged them to embrace one another irrespective of social and political divides.
“Umunnem Ndi Abia, as we once again celebrate the Resurrection and Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us use the opportunity to reflect deeply on the future of our dear State, renew our faith in Abia ,and pray God to strengthen us for the journey ahead towards building a greater Abia State”, the message reads.
“I, therefore urge us, in the spirit of Easter, to embrace one another across social and political divides and resolve to work collectively for sustainable peace and development of God’s Own State.
“May the blessings of Christ’s Resurrection abide with us and our loved ones all through this season and beyond.”
