Remo Stars right-back Sodiq Ismail provided a pinpoint cross in the 14th minute, finding Cyriel Dessers who controlled the ball expertly before slotting it past the Ghanaian goalkeeper.

The goal marked a triumphant return for Dessers, who was making his first appearance for Nigeria since finding the net against Ghana in a friendly earlier this year.

Nigeria doubled their advantage just five minutes later. A perfectly executed free-kick from Samuel Chukwueze found defender Semi Ajayi, whose header deflected off Ghana debutant Rasaq Simpson and nestled into the back of the net, leaving the Ghanaian shot-stopper with no chance.

The Super Eagles entered the half-time break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Ghana rallied in the second half, mounting a determined comeback attempt. Brandon Thomas-Asante managed to pull a goal back for the Black Stars in the 70th minute, injecting life into the game.

However, despite their efforts, the Super Eagles stood firm, weathering the Ghanaian pressure to secure a hard-fought victory and a coveted spot in the final.

Jamaica secured their place in the final after a narrow 3-2 victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the first semi-final held on Tuesday.
