KACRAN Lauds Sultan of Sokoto for Decade of Peacebuilding
The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has issued a strong commendation of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 10th anniversary as Sultan and for his unwavering commitment to peace and unity in Nigeria. In a statement released today, KACRAN National President, Hon. Khalil Bello, praised the Sultan’s exemplary leadership, particularly his crucial role in unifying Nigeria’s Muslim community and fostering inter-regional harmony.
The statement highlights several key achievements under the Sultan’s leadership: the reunification of Nigerian Muslims, culminating in near-universal agreement on the commencement of Ramadan and Eid celebrations; the revitalization of Jama’atu Nasrul Islam, strengthening its position as a leading Islamic organization; and the bridging of divides between northern and southern Nigeria.
KACRAN specifically noted the Sultan’s principled leadership, characterized by consistent advocacy for peace, willingness to offer counsel on national issues, and a commitment to fairness and justice for all Nigerians, regardless of background. His avoidance of political entanglements has further solidified his reputation for impartiality. The association also lauded his openness to advice aimed at promoting national harmony.
As Ramadan approaches, KACRAN used the occasion to call upon other traditional and political leaders to emulate the Sultan’s exemplary conduct, urging them to prioritize peace and understanding among Nigerians. The group extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Sultan on his decade of service and offered prayers for his continued success.
