NDLEA Issues Nationwide Warrant for Four Associates Of Lagos Drug Kingpin ‘Barryshine’
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has launched a nationwide manhunt for four associates of notorious Lagos drug lord Alhaji Suleiman Ganiu, aka Barryshine or Ejeoto.
Following the NDLEA’s request, the Federal High Court in Lagos issued arrest warrants for them.
Olarenwaju Abdulai (a.k.a Alhaji Loyingbo), Oluwafemi Abidoye (a.k.a Igbono, Baba Eje, Ade Iwaya, Femi Iwaya), Olumuyiwa Ilori (a.k.a Murphy), and Alate Kafy Bakare of Kaffy Travels are accused of being involved in multiple drug trafficking operations alongside Barryshine.
Honourable Justice Akintayo Aluko (case no: FHC/L/731C/2024) issued the court order on January 28th, 2025, in response to the NDLEA’s application.
The agency is asking for the public’s help in locating the four suspects, whose photographs will be widely distributed.
Barryshine was arrested on August 26, 2024, two years after he first came under NDLEA investigation.
Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd’s Managing Director/CEO is accused of orchestrating at least four failed cocaine export attempts to Saudi Arabia and Qatar through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport between 2022 and 2024.
While many of Barryshine’s alleged drug mules have been apprehended, prosecuted, and convicted, he is currently facing multiple charges in a Lagos Federal High Court.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi urged the public to provide any information about the whereabouts of the four wanted suspects.
He encouraged citizens to contact their nearest NDLEA office, call the toll-free helpline 080010203040, or use the agency’s social media accounts: @ndlea_nigeria (Instagram, X, TikTok), @ndlea01 (Facebook), or @ndleatv (YouTube).
The NDLEA is determined to bring all those responsible for Barryshine’s alleged drug trafficking network to justice.
