Northern Christian Youth Professionals Congratulate New Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General
Abuja, Nigeria – The Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP) has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his recent election as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the leading Igbo socio-cultural organisation.
In a statement issued today and signed by its Chairman, Isaac Abrak, the group expressed confidence in Senator Azuta-Mbata’s ability to lead the organisation through a critical period.
The NCYP highlighted the Igbo region’s significant challenges, particularly in terms of insecurity and violence. They believe Senator Azuta-Mbata’s extensive public administration experience, particularly his service on key Senate committees such as Defence, Finance & Appropriation, and Works & Housing, will help to foster regional security and economic growth in Nigeria.
The statement recognised the Igbo people’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy and global standing, highlighting their entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
The NCYP is confident that this legacy will thrive under Senator Azuta-Mbata’s leadership.
The NCYP, which represents professionals from Nigeria’s 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, reiterated its commitment to socioeconomic development, religious tolerance, and peaceful coexistence throughout the country.
The group pledged its support for the new President-General and the Ohanaeze Ndigbo community, emphasising the desire to work together on initiatives that benefit all Nigerians.
The statement concluded with a call for a more united, prosperous, and peaceful nation.
