Group Urges Northern Aspirants To Step Aside For Tinubu In 2027
Abuja, Nigeria – The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a pro-Tinubu political organisation, has issued a call to Northern presidential candidates to withdraw from the 2027 race and instead support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
In a statement issued today titled “2027: It is Tinubu Or Nobody,” SERHA’s South East Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, acknowledged the ongoing debate over President Tinubu’s performance, with critics citing economic challenges.
However, Enwere maintained that the President has brought stability to governance and is effectively addressing the country’s socioeconomic problems and insecurity.
Enwere cited President Tinubu’s recent visit to Enugu State and the commissioning of projects in the South East as examples of his commitment to the region’s development.
He also praised the President’s “strong political will” to address both economic challenges and security concerns.
“While critics claim he has put Nigeria’s economy on life support, others believe the President has brought stability to governance,” Enwere stated.
He added that the President has “improved the level of coordination between policies and sectors of the economy.”
The statement went on to directly address potential Northern contenders, advising them to “chicken out of the competition and wait their turn.”
SERHA declared its unwavering support for President Tinubu, advocating for a second term (“4 + 4 = 8”) and claiming that “there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock by 2027.”
The group vowed to support the President with a “No Retreat, No Surrender” stance.
The statement concludes with a strong assertion of President Tinubu’s commitment to lifting Nigeria and Africa out of poverty.
