NOA, BANGOF Partner To Promote Values Orientation In Bayelsa
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bayelsa State has called on the Bayelsa Non-Governmental Organisations Forum (BANGOF) to partner in a values orientation campaign aimed at fostering community development and social responsibility.
Bayelsa State NOA Director, Mr. Edwards Banigo, who made the call during a recent advocacy visit to BANGOF in Yenagoa, presented several strategies for promoting civic education and community involvement, emphasising the need for collaborative efforts to address pressing social issues such as youth engagement and environmental sustainability.
He highlighted the importance of the National Value Charter in achieving these goals.
The NOA delegation detailed various strategies to disseminate information about civic responsibility and community participation throughout the state, seeking BANGOF’s assistance in reaching a wider audience.
BANGOF Chairman Mr. Taritein Boc welcomed the partnership, stressing the crucial role of community engagement in value reorientation.
He emphasised the importance of collective action in building a more cohesive and progressive society.
Boco pledged BANGOF’s full cooperation with the NOA, recognising the potential for significant positive change through their joint efforts.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to future collaborations and the exchange of educational materials from the NOA Director to the BANGOF Chairman.
