Prof. Ibe Celebrates Bianca Ojukwu’s Ministerial Appointment, Calls For More Representation
Uturu, Abia State – Professor Gregory Ibe, Founder of Gregory University Uturu, has extended his congratulations to Lady Bianca Ojukwu on her appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
In a statement released today, Professor Ibe lauded Lady Bianca’s “exceptional leadership qualities, diplomatic prowess, and dedication to serving our great nation.”
He highlighted her impressive track record, including her roles as a former presidential advisor, ambassador to Ghana and Spain, and permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
“I do not doubt that she will bring her wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to promoting Nigeria’s interests on the global stage,” Professor Ibe stated.
While celebrating Lady Biànca’s appointment, Professor Ibe also used the opportunity to address what he described as the “glaring marginalisation” of the South East region in President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
“I urge President Tinubu to address this matter of urgency by giving the South East their well-deserved Zonal ministerial appointment,” he stated.
“This fair and equitable gesture will help in giving Ndigbo a sense of belonging in the Nigerian nation.”
Professor Ibe’s call reflects a growing sentiment within the South East, which currently has the least number of ministers in President Tinubu’s cabinet.
His statement underscores the importance of balanced representation at the highest levels of government for a truly united Nigeria.
