Nigeria@64: NEMSA Boss Urges Citizens To Embark On Collective Effort To Rebuild Nation

Abuja, September 30, 2024:  The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation, Engr. Aliyu Tukur Tahir, has called on Nigerians to unite and rebuild the nation, drawing inspiration from the values of our forefathers.

In a statement commemorating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, Engr. Tahir congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice-President Senator Kashim Shettima, the Honourable Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and all Nigerians.

He emphasized the need for Nigerians to uphold the virtues of patience, sacrifice, piety, faith, justice, fairness, mutual support, and reliance on the Creator.

“Despite challenges, our nation has thrived for 64 years, proving the love God has for us,” he said. “Our ability to coexist with diverse languages, cultures, and religions demonstrates our growth as a nation.”

Engr. Tahir acknowledged the setbacks faced by the nation, but stressed that even the most powerful nations encounter difficulties.

He urged Nigerians to work together to create a better and safer country, guided by the principles instilled by our forefathers.

The Chief Electrical Inspector further emphasized the importance of prayer for peace, stability, and prosperity, emphasizing the role of unity in overcoming current challenges.

Engr. Tahir expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of President Tinubu and Minister Adelabu to NEMSA, and assured Nigerians of the agency’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate.

This includes enforcing technical standards and regulations, conducting technical inspections, testing and certifying electrical installations, meters, and instruments to ensure efficient production, safe and reliable electricity delivery, and safeguarding lives and property within the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

In conclusion, Engr. Tahir wished all Nigerians a joyous Independence Day celebration.
