Dakuku Peterside Mourns Akwa Ibom First Lady, Says She Was  Pillar Of Compassion

Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former director general and chief executive officer of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has expressed condolences to the people of Akwa Ibom State following the death of the state’s First Lady, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.

In a press statement signed by him, the former member of the National Assembly said Mrs Eno’s death has cast a pall over the country because she was a pillar of compassion while she was alive.

The statement read: “At times like this, when the world comes to a halt, I find that words fail to express the depth of our collective grief.

“A profound emptiness engulfs us, intertwined with shock, unanswered questions, and unimaginable grief. I mourn Mrs.’s irreplaceable loss.

“Patience Umo Eno, a luminous soul whose light brightened countless hearts, was not only the beloved wife of our esteemed Governor Umo Eno, but also a steadfast pillar of compassion, wisdom, and unwavering grace.

“A woman with a special passion for worshipping God Almighty, a patriot in her own right, and a true mother in every sense.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to my dear brother, friend, and pastor, Governor Umo Eno, his entire family, and the wonderful people of Akwa Ibom. Her memory will inspire us forever, and may her soul rest in peace.”
