Chief Olabode George, former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), should swallow his words that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will not be President in 2027, according to Timi Frank, a political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, George should continue to indulge in self-delusion and egomania because he lacks the authority to elect Nigeria’s President in 2027.

“Let him (George) rest easy; Atiku’s hope for the future is in God and the generality of Nigerians, not in George and his ilk, who are now seeking patronage and political relevance from the powers that be by portraying themselves as a fake prophet,” he stated.

George had told Atiku that he would have to wait until 2031 to run for president again.

He had insisted that a Southerner should hold the office of President from 2023 to 2031, “because that is the reality of our country, the PDP Constitution, and our politics.”

However, Frank told George in a statement that he had no authority to choose Nigeria’s President in 2027.

Frank, the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, also reminded George that he cannot decide Atiku’s fate or future if the former Vice President decides to run for President in 2027.

He asked, “How can a man assume the position of God? How can a mortal, who is most likely already in the departure lounge, claim to know the outcome of far-off political events?

“I do not believe George can speak out on state issues at this time because he lacks the necessary qualifications. This is the man who swore that President Bola Tinubu would not win the 2023 presidential election.

“This is a man who has vowed to renounce his Nigerian citizenship and go into self-exile in Ghana if Tinububecomes President and observes Nigerians through his “binoculars” from a neighbouring West African nation.

“This is a man who stated in a 2022 interview with Arise Television that he can bet any amount of money on Tinubu’s lack of educational certificates.

“To Nigerians, George is no longer a Nigerian because Tinubu is President. Allow him to enjoy his newfound home rather than attacking Atiku in an attempt to worm his way into Tinubu’s heart for crumbs now that he appears hungry, politically forgotten, and empty-handed.

“Let George publicly apologise to Tinubu for his 2023 political misjudgments, and the President will most likely forgive him so that he can enjoy the kind of patronage that he believes undermining Atiku and his party (PDP) will provide.

“If God says Atiku will be President in 2027, a thousand Olabode George cannot change that.

“Besides, George has never supported Atiku in any election, but he has always won his primary and emerged as the candidate of the PDP.”
