The National Association of Presidential Amnesty Graduates (NAPAG) has expressed strong support for Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), lauding his innovative leadership.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by National Coordinator Somina Morrison Igani, the group praised Otuaro for his effective management and significant improvements to PAP.
Igani emphasised Otuaro’s commitment to closing the human capital development gap in the Niger Delta, noting that his leadership has resulted in significant progress in a variety of program areas. Key accomplishments include increased academic opportunities through scholarship awards, prompt payment of monthly stipends to PAP delegates, and a revitalised vocational skills acquisition program that provides high-quality training in a variety of trades.
“Dr. Otuaro’s leadership has resulted in a significant increase in support for academic pursuits, allowing many ex-agitators to pursue higher education and professional training,” Igani stated. This emphasis on education has empowered people and contributed to the socioeconomic development of the Niger Delta and beyond.
The prompt disbursement of allowances has also played an important role in sustaining the livelihoods of former agitators while also fostering peace, security, and stability throughout the region. Igani emphasised that these financial supports play an important role in the reintegration of ex-agitators into society.
Furthermore, Igani praised Otuaro for his unwavering commitment to NAPAG members’ academic progress, stating, “His administration has significantly expanded educational opportunities, ensuring that we are better prepared to contribute to the nation’s growth.”
The graduates also praised Otuaro for strategically appointing capable aides, which improved the quality of service delivery within the PAP. In light of these accomplishments, NAPAG gave Otuaro a vote of confidence, encouraging him to continue his positive impact on Niger Delta communities.
Under his (Otuaro’s) leadership, there has been a significant increase in academic support, allowing many ex-agitators to continue their education and professional training.
“This emphasis on academics has not only empowered individuals but has also contributed significantly to the socioeconomic development of the Niger Delta region and beyond.
“The prompt disbursement of allowances under Dr Otuaro’s leadership has been instrumental in sustaining the livelihoods of many former agitators,” Igani said.
He also stated that the timely payment of monthly allowances to ex-agitators was critical to the region’s long-term peace, security, and stability, as well as a significant aid to the reintegration process.
He also stated that the PAP boss had demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to NAPAG members’ academic progress, emphasising that they were pleased to identify with Otuaro’s leadership style.
Igani stated, “His administration has significantly expanded educational opportunities, ensuring that we are better able to contribute to the nation’s growth.”
