Tinubu Will Never Accept Responsibility For His Actions Or Anything Because He Has Nothing To Lose
By Vitalismary Unachukwu*.
A man, indeed an old man, who forcefully took power by foul means and proceeded to have himself hurriedly declared winner ridiculously by INEC and quickly inaugurated, as the presidential election results were being collated, without certification, knows and selfishly believes that he has nothing to lose if anything bad happens to Nigeria, especially if his proud boast that he bought the presidency with his money is any indication.
After all, he recently stated that he “bought the presidency with his money,” and you have been challenged to “go to court” if you disagree with him.
Tinubu has no idea of the harm he did to all of us when he corruptly induced and used feeble-minded, corrupt, dishonest, and irresponsible Nigerians in INEC, Judiciary, and Security Agencies, to whom he offered irresistible bribes in millions of dollars and billions of Naira currencies, which they felt they had never seen before in their lifetime of service, forgetting that what Tinubu gave
How do you expect Tinubu to accept responsibility for his actions and inactions?
For Nigerians who do not know Tinubu as our Emilokan President like the back of their hands, as well as those who are gradually becoming acquainted with the man who imposed himself on Nigerians against their will, BAT has not yet finished with us and has not finally displayed his cocky colours of shocking disbelief.
He proved smarter than Nigerians when he ignored them before the 2023 elections, knowing from the start that they did not love him, did not like him, and would never vote for him, which is why he kept his bullion vans of cash for INEC, the Judiciary, and Security Agencies, whom he effectively used to favour himself and rob Nigerians and the presidential candidate of their popular mandate.
That evil is unforgettable and unforgivable in the eyes of both God and man.
Tinubu and his gang of democracy destroyers will learn their fate sooner than later on the day of reckoning and judgment, which is approaching.
That is when Nigerians would understand that the end justifies the means.
Tinubu is not and will not change because of his stubborn nature, and there is no guarantee that anyone his age will ever be willing to change.
That is the biggest issue confronting Nigerians today:
Having someone they never voted for in charge of their lives and affairs, subject to his whims and caprices.
Nigerians are not as accustomed to BAT as he is to Nigerians.
That is the crux of the problem confronting our country today: political rulers who are far from true leaders doing their thing, toiling with democratic governance in a lawless manner, with no regard for the provisions of our Constitution, democratic norms, values, principles, and standards that are conventionally applicable and recognised around the world.
We are in Nigeria, feeling trapped in the face of political tyranny and the suppression of dissent against the people’s fundamental constitutional rights, freedoms, and guarantees.
What exactly gives our so-called civilian politicians in government the chicken guts to act recklessly and irresponsibly, as if civilian democracy is a military dictatorship, to the point of becoming worse than previous military juntas in Nigeria?
Their level of corruption is unfathomable, unprecedented, and unrivalled in our country’s history.
The purpose and value of democracy is to restore the people’s freedom to exercise their constitutional rights without interference, as well as to provide them with the unrestricted opportunity and lease to actively participate in their government.
The opposite is true in Nigeria, where Nigerians feel more respected, recognised, protected, and accepted under a military government, despite the fact that such an unconstitutional arrangement is now considered an outlier around the world.
You may wonder why the peoples of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger Republic, etc. welcomed the military takeover in their respective countries, where there are reported signs of growth, prosperity, stability, security, and development, with news feelers from those countries, attesting to the prevailing comfort there, while Nigerians reel in anger, despair, misery, disillusionment, disappointment, frustration, fear, insecurity, and the worst economic conditions in decades, w
When Tinubu recently reportedly boasted about buying his presidential position with his own money, how can we expect him to be vicariously liable and accept responsibility for his government’s insurmountable woes and failures as a result of his jaundiced leadership?
Tell me how we can force this man to face the unavoidable consequences of his actions and inactions in office, including reported instances of corruption and conflicts of interest involving his clandestine ownership of multiple oil wells, serving as President and Petroleum Minister at the same time, and battling for the fate and survival of all Nigerians?
When a man does not understand and appreciate the gravity of his wrongdoings and the consequences of his actions on his victims, should he not be subjected to mental assessment, evaluation, rehabilitation, and treatment?
Do we ever know our political leaders’ mental states, capacities, and overall well-being before, during, and after their terms in office?
We only see garbage in and out of office, while the people suffer greatly as a result of our fatal mistake of allowing someone who lost elections to impose his own will on us.
This is manifestly incorrect.
We should probably stop complaining much about Tinubu, because our dead silence and inability to stop him, by taking away from him what he took away from us by force, gave him and fellow civilians, palace coup plotters, the vent of wrestling power and consolidating it, as we watched helplessly and moronically, without raising our voices and embarking on public protests at the earliest opportunity, and not now hunger, despair, misery, starvation, and death, have
Peter Obi did what was necessary by cautioning and calling for calm while seeking justice at the Tribunal and the courts, which ultimately ended in a fiasco, to the great disappointment of members of the Tribunal and Judiciary, who turned coats in exchange for millions of dollars in bribes.
Today, Obi disbelieved the Judiciary’s ability to dismantle criminality in our political and democratic systems, and he advised supporters of democracy and political freedom in our country to stop praying for Nigeria’s political rulers and instead take action by uniting to expose corruption, corrupt government officials, and dismantle the culture of criminality in governance.
Are Nigerians listening and focussing on the murderous evil that is looming over our national horizon?
Are we aware that the worst is yet to come for Tinubu?
Do we have the necessary shock absorber and other resources to weather the storms and disasters that await us?
Some of us do not believe we should stop praying, as Obi suggested under frustrating formalism.
I believe that the best way forward is to combine fervent prayers with action rather than relying on a unilateral approach.
This is because, as Sacred Scripture says, faith without good works is dead.
Prayers without action are incomplete, meaningless, and ineffective.
Nigerians should narrow their focus on Tinubu and what he brings to the democratic table going forward, and spend less time brooding over their post-election mistakes and failure to act on the spur of the moment when it was most important, to make their voices heard in rejecting INEC’s electoral crimes in overturning their popular will, as the people of Venezuela recently rejected, revolted, and reacted against the lawless behaviour of their President, Maduro, in office in
I bet Nigeria’s military and rank and file will easily fall for the rat poison thrown at them in the form of millions of dollars and Naira bribes.
When will Nigeria’s Zombie Military realise that their loyalty is to the nation, not to any individual or group of deplorable individuals holding our government hostage and demanding ransom?
Nigerians have continued to lose their minds as a result of their political rulers’ and politicians’ hypnotic tactics, with no positive lessons to be learnt from their counterparts in other democratic nations.
It is sad, pathetic, shameful, and heartbreaking to watch Nigerians lick their wounds and lament their fate under an authoritarian system that opposes democracy and their determination to survive.
Only the fittest in Nigeria will survive the upcoming political deluges.
Let us reconsider how to manoeuvre, strategise, and overcome our current government’s relentless political pressures and wickedness, which make us look foolish and less human in our own country, with their insistence on gagging the press and voices of dissent, trampling the people’s constitutional rights and freedoms with impunity and intimidation, and promoting and condoning corruption behind the scenes in the eyes of Nigerians.
We need both radical, fervent prayers and action to defeat our democracy’s enemies and prepare for proper political and democratic leadership in the presidential saddle so that things can get off to a good start for the better.
We must continue to pray and act well and not give up (Luke 18:1) until something positive happens in our country, to the glory of God.
