End Bad Governance Protest: Obi Advises Tinubu To Address The Nation.
As the nationwide *#Endbsdgovernance* protest enters its second day across the country, Peter Obi, the main opposition voice and Labour Party Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general election, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the nation and calm the situation.
Obi, speaking from his home in Onitsha, Anambra State, responded to the protest and the protesters’ demands, saying the President should address the nation and address the people’s legitimate demands.
In a statement signed by Yunusa Tanko, POMR Spokesman, Obi also referred to the video claiming that he was in Abuja on Day One of the protests.
The former Anambra State Governor stated, “I am in Onitsha; I can not be here and in Abuja.”
Obi said the protesters’ demands were legitimate, but they must be pursued legally.
“I urge the President to come out and address the nation. He is the one the people elected to carry out their mandate, and he should not be reaching out to them through aides or appointees during such critical times.”
The LP standards bearer also expressed his condolences to the families of those who died during the protest, as well as those who were injured and lost property.
