Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has established a State Advisory Committee on the New National Minimum Wage, just 48 hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the new N70,000 minimum wage, which was agreed upon with the organised labour union.

Kano is the first state in the nation to set up such a committee. The Governor’s Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, presided over the inauguration today at the State Government House.
