Cote D’Ivoire’s goal scorers included Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller.

The end result was undoubtedly a fairytale ending for Côte d’Ivoire. They emerged as Africa’s new champions despite losing twice in the group stage of a tournament before going on to win it.
Equatorial Guinea lost by a score of 0:4. The other went to the team it eventually defeated in the final, Nigeria.

Nigeria’s defeat to Cote D’Ivoire was largely attributed to the absence of a creative midfielder in the Super Eagles during the match.
It appears that while the Eagles slept, the Elephants fought, and their efforts were rewarded with a resounding victory by the Elephants.

Nonetheless, it was a decent performance for the Super Eagles, who were given little chance of making the semi-finals prior to the tournament.
