AFCON: Gov. Uzodimma Congratulates Super Eagles For Win Over Angola
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles players for exceeding expectations by crushing the Palancas Negras of Angola in the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Quarterfinals on Friday.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated their Angolan opponents 1-0 to advance to the semi-finals.
Governor Uzodimma predicted that the Super Eagles would easily defeat Angola, urging the players to stay focused.
According to Oguwike Nwachuku, Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Imo State Governor, sports-loving Sen Uzodimma was pleased with Angola’s victory and expressed confidence that the Super Eagles players will maintain their winning streak until they lift the coveted trophy in the final.
Governor Uzodimma praised the Super Eagles players’ dexterity in their match against Angola, pointing out that both the players and their handlers were clearly committed.
On Friday, at 6 p.m. local time, Nigeria faced Angola at the famous Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Cote D’And.
