I Wasn’t Attacking Burna Boy, Says Korede Bello
Former Mavin Records artiste, Korede Bello has said that he harbours no ill intention towards his industry colleague, Burna Boy. During the week, the artiste, who dropped a new single, ‘Available’ appeared to have mocked Burna’s claim that he made $100m this year.
“100 million isn’t a lot of money though”, Bello tweeted, drawing reactions. Earlier, top singer, Wizkid in a series of posts on his Snapchat profile, vented about being disrespected in the industry while affirming that his retirement won’t make other artists get close to his wealth.
Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to taunt his colleague for bragging unnecessarily and how he isn’t worth his attention. “I can’t talk money with you if you haven’t made $100M this year.
Just smoke BRKFST and sit down,” he wrote.
Clearing the air about his tweet in a programme ‘Chook Mouth’ on Wazobia FM hosted by popular OAP, Yaw, Bello said that his tweet was directed at those who doubted whether Burna Boy could have made N100m this year.
“That’s what I meant; like $100m is not a lot of money it’s not impossible. Big love for Burna, Wiz and everybody making big strides and big money. In fact, I was echoing what he said. Like, why do people doubt his experience? If he has made $100m, that is his experience,” he said.
