Nollywood Actor, Karibi Fubara Dies
Death once again hit Nollywood, as another actor, Karibi Fubara died according to information from family members on social media.
His sister, Stella Fubara, announced his passing on Wednesday.
“He was a warrior, now he’s an angel in heaven,” Ms. Fubara, who is the Director International Operations, Dubai Tourism, wrote on Instagram.
Another family member, Ayayi Fubara Eneli, shared the news of his death on Instagram, saying:
“My brother, Karibi Fubara, has joined the ancestral realm. I’m devastated, but not hopeless. He lived fully and with joy. Left a great body of work. Will be a powerful ancestor. I love you, #ChiefBlack. I do not own the rights to this song,”
Karibi, who married a popular Nollywood stylist and costumier, Yolanda Okereke, in December 2018, was famous for his outstanding roles in ‘Smart Money Woman’ (2021) and ‘God Calling’ (2018)
Also paying tribute to the late actor, Arese Ugwu, the executive producer of Smart Money Woman wrote:
“Such sad sad news … life can be so cruel RIP Karibi Fubara.
“Ours was a professional relationship but you were always so kind, so ready to work, such a team player, such a stand-up guy with such a credible talent. The world has been robbed of your light. Thank you for everything.
“My prayers are with your family and friends in this difficult time.. May God give them the strength to deal with this loss.
“Rest in Power King.”
In 2020, the talented actor revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer.
