Julius Berger Nigeria Plc Celebrates Annual Cultural Day, Strengthens Team Unity
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, a leading engineering and construction company, held its annual Cultural Day celebration on Friday, October 03, 2025, across its corporate offices, regional headquarters, and project sites nationwide.
The event underscored the company’s commitment to promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity as a vital tool for fostering unity, peaceful coexistence, and socio-economic development.
This year’s Cultural Day featured vibrant displays of tradition, with staff members donning colourful attire representing Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups.
The celebration showcased traditional music, dance performances, cultural exhibitions, and a variety of indigenous cuisines, all reflecting the depth and richness of Nigeria’s heritage.
In Abuja, the Head of Human Resources, Olorunfemi Ojomo, welcomed attendees and emphasised the importance of unity in diversity.
He stated that the company values the strength found in its diverse cultures and will continue to promote them.
Ojomo remarked, “I am truly impressed by the beautiful attire I see this evening. Thank you for the effort. This will undoubtedly be a wonderful event.
” As I say every year, this is a moment where we celebrate our diversity. While it is a time for enjoyment, the most important aspect is recognising that we come from different parts of the country, indeed different parts of the world, because we are a company that embraces diversity.
” This diversity is our strength, and it’s crucial to appreciate one another. Small gestures like this matter greatly. So, I welcome each and every one of you. Please have a fantastic time this evening. Thank you very much.”
Across the regions, staff showcased creativity and pride. In Lagos, employees highlighted the vibrancy of Yoruba culture through dance, drumming, and traditional cuisine.
In Abuja, staff spotlighted the richness of Northern traditions with displays of Hausa-Fulani heritage, while the Port Harcourt teams brought the colourful essence of the Niger Delta to life.
From East to West, the company’s project sites reflected the same energy, celebrating Nigeria’s cultural tapestry in a truly nationwide event.
The Cultural Day celebration has become a Julius Berger tradition that fosters camaraderie among employees and reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to values that strengthen communities.
This year’s edition reinforced Julius Berger’s belief that culture remains a vital driver of national identity and a catalyst for peace, harmony, and sustainable development.
