Expect More Impactful Representation, Oghum Tells Consituency
Hon. Johnson Oghuma (APC – Edo), has promised his constituency, Etsako Federal Constituency, more impactful representation in the Green Chamber.
The lawmaker who is a two-term member of the House of Representatives made the promise on Friday in Benin at the occasion of the Nigerian Observer Merit Award where he was honoured for his outstanding representation by the Edo State Government-owned newspaper.
Represented by Mr. Emmanuel Oshiogbele, Oghuma who was described as “Man of the People” said his driving force has been to change the narrative of his constituency.
He said his sojourn as a member of the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) had been the reason behind his achievements in the Green Chamber.
According to Oghuma who is the Chairman of House Committee on Environment, “I have been able to use the wealth of experience as a two-term member of the EDHA to impact positively on my people.
“I have been able to make a credible impact in the area of representation, initiation of bills, massive empowerment and infrastructural development across the three local government areas of my constituency.
“As for the award, it is a wake-up call to do more, especially coming from a State-run government newspaper currently under the ruling party, PDP. With what we have been able to achieve, my people should definitely expect more from me.”
The State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Mr. Adaze Ewanta, described Oghuma as a “Man of the People” who has done credibly well as the lawmaker representing the Etsako Federal Constituency.
