Hensard University Webinar Reveals Practical Applications Of AI In Creative Fields

Hensard University, Toru Orua, hosted a webinar today themed “Unlocking Creativity Through AI,” illuminating the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on creativity.

Led by esteemed guest lecturer, Assistant Professor Dr. Sai Sudha Gadde of KL University in Hyderabad, India, the session explored AI’s capabilities and dispelled common misconceptions surrounding its role in the modern world.

Dr. Gadde’s presentation captivated a diverse audience of Hensard University students, spanning disciplines from medicine and engineering to law, nursing, communication, and the arts and social sciences.

Her insightful exploration delved into the multifaceted potential of AI, positioning it not as a replacement for human intellect, but as a powerful complementary tool capable of enhancing both student learning and lecturer efficiency.

The webinar addressed crucial aspects of AI and Machine Learning, emphasizing their practical applications and demystifying complex technical concepts.

Dr. Gadde directly addressed the pervasive concern that AI is poised to supplant human functions. “AI is not replacing humans; it is enhancing their work,” she asserted, a sentiment that resonated strongly with the participants.

The knowledge-sharing session provided concrete examples of how AI can be harnessed to unlock human creativity, including its ability to analyse vast datasets and identify emerging trends, allowing for the conceptualisation of futuristic ideas.

Dr. Gadde highlighted the critical role of prompt engineering in optimising AI outputs, explaining that crafting precise and well-defined prompts significantly enhances the accuracy, creativity, and overall efficiency of AI tools.

Drawing parallels with the introduction of cameras and computers, Dr. Gadde positioned AI as a transformative tool, empowering individuals to elevate their creative capabilities. She emphasised the importance of viewing AI as a collaborator rather than a competitor.

Dr. Gadde articulated the varying levels of involvement AI can have in the creative process, acting as a helper, a partner, or even a creator, depending on the specific application.

The webinar showcased a range of creative AI applications, including audio generation, the development of intelligent AI agents, and the creation of sophisticated video generation tools.

Dr. Gadde stressed the importance of data in training AI models, outlining various types of data and datasets—both real-world and artificial—and accessible sources such as Kaggle.

Dr. Gadde clarified the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, explaining that AI represents the overarching goal of creating intelligent systems, while Machine Learning serves as a key method for achieving this goal by enabling systems to learn patterns from data.

The concise yet comprehensive session provided Hensard University students with a solid foundational understanding of AI’s current capabilities and its future potential.
