Fintech Giant Moniepoint Champions Youth Voices In Delta State Oratory Competition

Moniepoint Inc., a leading financial technology firm, has partnered with the Mega Impact Foundation to empower Delta State’s young minds through the 5th annual NextGen Connect Interschool Oratory Competition.

The event, held in honour of the International Day of the Boy Child, saw Secondary School students from across the state address the critical theme of “The Role of Financial Inclusion and Technology in Shaping a Brighter Future for Young People in Africa.”

Moniepoint, known for its mission of advancing financial inclusion through innovative digital solutions, sponsored the competition, which brought together talented young orators to share their perspectives on the continent’s most pressing issues.

The competition culminated in a showcase of exceptional talent, with Otovo Praise of Crystalloid International School emerging victorious.

His exceptional performance earned him a full-year scholarship from the Tosin Eniolorunda STEM Foundation, demonstrating Moniepoint’s dedication to educational excellence.

Audi Innocent of St Patrick’s College won second place with ₦300,000, and Asher David of Glorious Kids Academy won third place with ₦200,000.

Aside from monetary prizes, Moniepoint’s support includes the creation of platforms for young people to express their ideas on a larger scale.

The company is creating an environment that fosters critical thinking skills, confidence, and engagement with important societal issues by participating in the NextGen Connect Conference and Tech-In-School conversations.
