Borno: Governor Zulum Assesses Projects, Plans Resettlement Of Three Communities

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, concluded a two-day tour on Sunday, visiting frontline locations in the southern and central parts of the state to inspect ongoing key projects.

During the tour, he also announced plans to resettle three additional communities that were previously displaced by insurgents.

The projects inspected included 500 resettlement houses and over 3,000 temporary shelters in Mayinti and Dara Jamal.

Governor Zulum revealed that preparations are underway to resettle Kumshe, Mayinti, and Tarmuwa, all located in the Bama Local Government Area.

Prior to this, Governor Zulum visited Kirawa, where he approved the construction of a hospital and water facilities, as well as the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by Boko Haram insurgents.

He also traveled to Banki town, bordering the Republic of Cameroon, to reinforce security measures following a recent insurgency attack.

The Governor Zulum’s delegation included a member of the House of Representatives, Engr. Bukar Talba, the Acting Chief of Staff, Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe, several commissioners, and other senior government officials.
