Tinubu Warned To Beware Of Trump Administration’s Potential Intervention In Nigeria
Political analyst Vitalis Unachukwu has issued a stern warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to avoid confrontation with the incoming Donald Trump administration.
Unachukwu’s statement, released earlier today, claimed that a direct challenge from Tinubu would cause the US government to question the legitimacy of his presidency, potentially leading to regime change.
Unachukwu claimed that President Trump is aware of alleged irregularities in the 2023 Nigerian presidential elections, describing them as “the worst in Nigeria’s history.”
He argued that the Trump administration can destabilise the Tinubu government through sanctions and diplomatic pressure, to correct what he sees as injustices against the Nigerian people.
“It would be to his funeral if he confronted Trump and compelled the new US President to reactivate the illegitimacy of his presidency,” Unachukwu stated, adding that Tinubu would only be held responsible for any consequences.
He emphasised the gravity of alleged human rights violations and criminal atrocities under the current administration, implying that these actions could be the catalyst for US intervention.
Unachukwu’s statement ends on a cautionary note, urging President Tinubu to be wary of “political surprises” from the incoming Trump administration in Washington.
The statement provides no specific evidence to back up its claims about President Trump’s knowledge of election irregularities or the administration’s intentions towards Nigeria.
President Tinubu’s office has yet to respond to the allegations. This developing story will be updated as new information becomes available.
