The Imo State Police Command announced today the successful dismantling of a notorious kidnapping syndicate linked to IPOB/ESN, resulting in a deadly shootout that left two police officers dead.
The operation, carried out by the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit on December 19th, 2024, in Orogwe, Owerri West Local Government Area, led to the neutralisation of three suspects and the arrest of two others: David Ifeanyichukwu (20) and Abuchi Joseph (24).
