According to Mr Taiwo Oluboyede, Chief Executive Officer of TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA, at the public presentation of its annual report in Lagos on Monday, Julius Berger’s ability to maintain this prestigious position year after year demonstrates its role as a critical driver of Nigerian infrastructure development. The company’s remarkable achievement at the 2024 TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA® reinforces its long-standing influence and leadership in the industry, positioning it as a key player in the country’s growth and development.

Oluboyede expressed excitement for the 2024 edition of the TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA® ranking, which recognises the country’s most influential and valuable brands. He stated that this year’s list demonstrates enduring leadership qualities. This year’s list demonstrates the resilience, innovation, and enduring relevance of brands that continue to shape Nigeria’s economy, particularly during difficult times.

Oluboyede revealed at the event that Nigerian brands accounted for 24 spots on the top brands list this year, while international brands held 26 positions, accounting for 52% of the total. He also mentioned that the 2024 list saw the entry of two new brands, Opay Nigeria and Flutterwave, which made their debut in the annual Top 50 evaluation. He stated that these new entrants demonstrate the growing role of fintech and digital payment platforms in shaping Nigeria’s economic future.

Julius Berger and 13 other brands retained their positions from the previous year, demonstrating consistent performance and consumer trust, according to the 2024 report.

The CEO of TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA® praised the brands’ exceptional performance resilience, especially in light of the current economic challenges. “These brands deserve recognition, especially in times like this. Many businesses have struggled over the last year, with some leaving Nigeria and others barely surviving.
