The distance by road between Abakiliki and Lagos is 628 kilometres. The distance from Aba to Lagos is 606 kilometres. These are the two most distant major cities from Lagos in the South East. Fuel will be sold in the South East for N940.

Another surprise is that Rivers and Akwa Ibom are included with the South East. Their respective capitals are Port Harcourt (606km) and Uyo (671km) from Lagos.

The majority of imported goods, including petroleum products, arrive in Lagos.

What makes Kaduna (831km) and Kano (992.5km) from Lagos buy fuel at N939 per litre? The South East, which is closer to Lagos, pays more than Kaduna and others. There is no mention of oil-producing Bayelsa. Only the NNPC knows.
