Breaking: Police Arrest Mohammed Who Killed Nabeeha Sister, Others In Kaduna
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has arrested the suspected killer of Nabeeha Ariyo, a final-year student kidnapped with her sisters in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the suspect, Mohammed Bello, was arrested in Kaduna state during a raid on a hotel in the Tafa area of the state.
The suspect was in possession of a sum of one million naira, which was suspected to be the proceeds of a ransom paid by families of kidnapping victims.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to being a member of the gang that kidnapped the family members of one Barrister Ariyo in Bwari, FCT, on January 2, 2024, and killed some kidnapped victims, including Nabeeha, f, the legal practitioner’s daughter, on January 13, 2024, in a kidnappers camp in Kaduna State.”
“In a dramatic situation, the suspect offered #1,000,000 (one million naira only) to entice the DPO, who declined the offer and carried out his duty diligently.
According to the statement, the suspect admitted to the involvement of five other bandits in Kaduna, who had already been neutralised by the IRT when their camp was destroyed.
“While commending the DPO Tafa, SP Idris Ibrahim, for the commitment and professionalism displayed in the case, he further assured that the Police would leave no stone unturned in decimating criminally motivated individuals and leaving Nigerians with a more secure society for all and sundry in our dear country, Nigeria.”
