Abia Remains Our Number Customer, Innoson Chairman Tells Gov. Otti
Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Founder and Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, producers of the Innoson motors brand, has named Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, as his company’s most important customer.
Chief Chukwuma commended Governor Otti for being a wonderful champion of the Innoson brand during a business visit to his Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government country home on Friday.
“He’s the number one marketer of Innoson,” Chief Chukwuma said of Dr. Otti. “Most of the vehicles bought by the government in this state (Abia) are Innoson vehicles and they are happy with the vehicles.”
He thanked Governor Otti for his continuous support and patronage and added that his company is in discussions with officials from the Abia State Government about establishing a maintenance center in Abia for vehicle service and repairs.
According to Kazie Uko, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, the foremost Nigerian indigenous automaker also wants to make Abia the hub for the conversion of petrol and diesel engine cars to compressed natural gas (CNG) user engines.
Chief Chukwuma revealed that Governor Otti had ordered 20 security pick-up vans from his company, which the government desperately needed, but he was unable to supply them at the time because they had exhausted their stock, forcing the government to obtain the vehicles from another source.
While receiving Chief Chukwuma and his team, Governor Otti committed to continue to support Innoson Motors.
He stated that his government had already purchased 40 Innoson brand automobiles and that negotiations were underway to obtain further vehicles, including those for the 24 members of the Abia State House of Assembly.
The Governor reminded the Innoson Chairman that his (the Governor’s) official vehicle was still on the way, which the auto manufacturer swiftly agreed to deliver by next week.
The State Chief Executive added that every effort he is making to secure the State and put road infrastructure in place is aimed at developing the State and creating prosperity for its people.
He assured Chief Chukwuma of Abia’s government’s continued partnership.
