INEC Suspends CVR Exercise In Katsina

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Katsina State has suspended the second quarter continuous voter registration, CVR, exercise.

The exercise has been temporarily suspended from Monday 20th December, 2021 to 3rd January, 2022.

This is contain in a statement signed by the state INEC Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abashe and made available to newsmen in Katsina on Tuesday.

The statement said from 24th-30th December, 2021, there would be display for claims and objections where those who registered can draw attention to mistakes.

According to the statement, this is in respect of age, address, gender, occupation or polling units in preparation for the next quarter of the exercise which commence on the 3rd January, 2022.

The statement added that, the display will be done at the 34 INEC local government area offices in the state.

“Even those who registered at the state INEC headquarters in Katsina their particulars will appear at the LGAs, wards and polling units of their choice”, the statement concluded.
