2023: Anyim, One Of The Best Hopes For Nigeria, Says Emir Of Lafia

A prominent northern traditional ruler and Emir of Lafia, Hon Sidi Bage, retired Justice of the Supreme the Court of Nigeria has said that the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, is a capable hand in solving the problems of Nigeria.

Anyim, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), recently declared his interest to run for the presidency of Nigeria come 2023.

Justice Bage stated this in Abuja at the Awards/Honours Symposium organised by The Nigerian News to mark the 5th anniversary of the media outfit.

Bage said Anyim understood the problems of  Nigeria and was capable of fixing them, explaining that after listening to the former President of the Senate’s speech at an award ceremony in Lagos recently, he was left with no doubt that Anyim is the man for the job.

He described Anyim as Nostradamus who had seen and understood what Nigeria should be like in the future.

“He knows what Nigeria should be today and tomorrow”, he insisted urging, “let all Nigerians read that speech.”

“He (Anyim) made me believe that we still have leaders into whose hands we can entrust Nigeria,” Bage said.

Bage, himself one of the awardees commended the organisers of the award for recognising the leadership qualities in the PDP presidential aspirant.

Anyim in his remarks lamented that Nigeria was operating as a nation without dreams and urged those in leadership positions or jostling for leadership to do everything possible to regenerate the Nigerian dream as well as the consciousness to drive the dream.

While thanking the award organisers for the honour done him, Anyim assured Nigerians that he would not disappoint them if given the opportunity to lead the country.
