Independence: Temitope Odunlami Prays For Nigeria At 62, Foresees Peace
As Nigeria marks 62 years of independence, a popular Abeokuta-based gospel music singer, Temitope Odunlami (aka Ijo ope) has prophesied peace and success of the 2023 general elections.
Odunlami, who will be ministering at a special independence edition of her monthly open-air musical evangelism, urged Nigerians, irrespective of creed, tribe, or religion, to continue to ask for God’s favour amidst ongoing challenges.
In a chat with Sunday Independent, Odunlami said the musical evangelism tagged: “An Hour Street Praise” slated for Tuesday, October 4, 2022, will feature musical ministration to set the country free of impediments that have stunted its growth.
Odunlami showered praises on the Almighty God for keeping the country together despite rising discontent and lawlessness by the government and the governed.
The soul-winning singer prayed to God to continue to pave way for Nigeria’s unity, peace, economic breakthrough, irreversible growth, and development that will lead to the actualisation of the dreams of its founding fathers.
Speaking on the musical ministration, she explained that the 62nd Independence anniversary edition will hold at the foyer of the Methodist Church, opposite Egba High School, Asero, Abeokuta from 5 p.m on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
“This edition will feature special praise and worship for the country. This is meant to set the country free from crawling at 62.
“This great land that is filled with honey and blessings deserves to lead Africa and be free of incessant bloodletting, wilful vandalism, and looting of the commonwealth of the country. All of these will end in the mighty name of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
“Besides, all Nigerians born in October will also be celebrated as the open-air musical evangelism would be another spiritually fulfilling experience for residents of the ancient city and all Nigerians,” Odunlami added.
